Actually, you can get the result through the service of Krishna...
In Mahaprabhu’s time, there was one widow lady who stayed at Srivas Pandit’s house, her name was Duhkhi (lit. ‘unhappy’). Mahaprabhu always went to Srivas Pandit’s house, and one day Srivas Pandit very happily said to that lady, “O Duhkhi, please bring some water! Mahaprabhu is coming and we need some water for His abhisekh, bath.” When Duhkhi heard Mahaprabhu was coming and that He would take bath in that water, she became very glad—she was carrying the water from the Ganges and she was crying! What has she done? Just through some small service she actually got Mahaprabhu. When Mahaprabhu came to Srivas Pandit’s house, He asked her, “What is your name?” She said, “My name is Duhkhi (unhappy).” Mahaprabhu said then, “Who said your name is Duhkhi? Your name can never be Duhkhi. From today your name will be Sukhi (happy)!” This is how that lady got Sriman Mahaprabhu through her service.
Another time, one tailor was near Srivas Pandit’s house. When Mahaprabhu came to Srivas Pandit’s house, Srivas Pandit started calling everybody, “Please come everybody! Who is there? Please come, please come!” At that time the tailor came to Srivas Pandit’s house and saw Mahaprabhu. He became so glad that he said with a very sorrowful mind, “Why was I born in a Muslim family?! Why was I not born in a Hindu family? If I was born in a Hindu family, I could serve Mahaprabhu!” Just by seeing Mahaprabhu that tailor got Mahaprabhu, got the mercy of Mahaprabhu.
Another day, also at Srivas Pandit’s house, Mahaprabhu was giving mercy to everybody. He called everybody—whether they were far or near, He gave mercy to everybody. Everybody got His mercy that day, but He did not say Mukunda’s name. Devotees asked Mahaprabhu, “Prabhu, today You are giving mercy to everybody, why are You not calling Mukunda Das?” Mahaprabhu replied, “Because Mukunda Das is a khada-jathiya (খড়জাঠিয়া)!” Mahaprabhu liked Mukunda’s singing, He would cry hearing his songs, but khada-jathiya [lit. khada খড়, straw, jathi জাঠি, stick—i.e. sometimes humble, sometimes opposing] means he went everywhere, to every place, to every sampradaya without any discrimination. Mahaprabhu was unhappy with him because of this, and that is why He did not call him, did not give mercy to him at first.
Mukunda was very sad, he thought, “I want to commit suicide. I sing for Mahaprabhu, my life is for Mahaprabhu—if Mahaprabhu does not like me, if He does not give His mercy to me, what will I live for?” He called Svarup Damodar and said to him, “Prabhu, I cannot go there myself, I am afraid of Him. Can you please tell Mahaprabhu about my intention, determination?” Svarup Damodar came to Mahaprabhu and asked, “Prabhu, when will Mukunda get mercy from You?” Although Mukunda was far away, he could hear the conversation, so he heard Mahaprabhu say, “He will get it after a crore of lives (ten million lives).” As soon as Mukunda heard it, he started dancing and chanting, “I will get it! I will get it!” Everybody was surprised, “Why is this pious man, sadhu behaving like this? Mahaprabhu says he will get mercy in one crore lives, it is so far away but he is dancing! What kind of man is he?”
When Mahaprabhu saw Mukunda dancing, He became happy and said, “He has believed it!” He then called Mukunda, “O Mukunda, you have believed it! You have believed it, so your ten million lives have all finished in one moment. You will get My mercy now!”
We must believe what Mahaprabhu says, what Krishna says in Srimad Bhagavad-gita, what our Gurudev says. We have never seen Mahaprabhu, we do not actually know Krishna, but we know our Gurudev. If we serve our Gurudev (serve not for our own interest, but for his interest), if surrender to Krishna, then we must get Krishna through that service. You do not need to think about yourself. If you think about Krishna, Krishna will think about you.

জীবের ‘স্বরূপ হয়’—কৃষ্ণের ‘নিত্যদাস’ ।
কৃষ্ণের ‘তটস্থা-শক্তি’, ‘ভেদাভেদ-প্রকাশ’ ॥
jīvera ‘svarūpa’ haya—kṛṣṇera ‘nitya-dāsa’
kṛṣṇera ‘taṭasthā-śakti’ ‘bhedābheda-prakāśa’
“By its intrinsic nature, the soul is an eternal servant of Krishna; the souls comes from the marginal energy of Krishna and are simultaneously one with and different from the Lord” (Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita: Madhya-lila, 20.108).
What is our jīvera ‘svarūp’? Who are we? We are a servant of the servant of the servant of Krishna—we are His devotees’ servants. We are not Bhagavan, if we were Bhagavan it would not be necessary then to do any Krishna consciousness. But we are servants of the servants of the servants of Krishna, we are fallen souls, we have nothing, and we must pay obeisance to all Vaishnavs.
Suppose there is a train going from Saint Petersburg to Moscow. Somebody has a ticket in the first-class car, somebody goes in the second-class car, somebody travels third-class. Everybody has different tickets, but everybody will go to Moscow. So, we are all servants of our Gurudev—somebody is doing some great service, somebody is cleaning the drain, somebody is cooking, somebody is washing the Deities’ plate, etc. Everybody’s service is not the same, not equal, but we are all going to one destination. So, if we can stay in our Gurudev’s boat (if we can have Gurudev as the controller of our boat), and not get thrown out of the boat, then wherever he goes he can take us there.
