The Western idea is to get some knowledge that’s going to do what?—To serve you!—Education—it will serve you, it will serve your interest. You’ll get a good job, you’ll make good money. You’ll have a good life, la dolce vita.

The Eastern idea is the inversion. If this will be extended to you—this awareness, this consciousness, this understanding—then you, out of gratitude or appreciation shall offer yourself in service to that.

This is what we mean when we’re talking about faith and devotion. Leave your intellect, your mind at the door—they will not help you navigate this plane. What’s the highest aspect—the head, the intellect—you have to bow this to the least aspect of that plane.
