Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur has done so much seva for Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's sampradaya. Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur appeared when the sampradaya was in a very dangerous position. He was born in the Nadia district of West Bengal in Ola, near Krishnanagar and Fulia, where the bhajan kutir Haridasa Thakura was located. Later, Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur showed himself to be a great devotee of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. In the name of Mahaprabhu, Bhakti Vinod Thakur tried to establish real Krishna consciousness, and he tried to purify the sampradaya of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. He lived for a very difficult period of time.
