Ecological Programme
At the Shore of Gulf of Finland

On the 13th of May in Saint-Petersburg an ecological programme was held under
the guidance of Saint-Petersburg leader, Sripad Vijay Raman Prabhu. The goal of
the programme was not only to give a nice impression of Russian branch of Sri
Chaitanya Saraswat Math, but also to clean the shore of the Gulf of Finn from the accumulated
throughout winter refuse.
Such programmes are held in Saint-Petersburg Seva-Ashram regularly twice a year,
and usually devotees invite different organizations, groups to contribute to the
project. This time they invited students of the local schools. The children
happily agreed to help and vigorously took part in it. Besides, several campers
who decided to spend the weekend by the shore in the end also joined the
cleaning party.
After the cleansing programme, in the temple devotees arranged prasadam
distribution to all the participators. And in the evening, a musical
ethno-concert was held at the much changed shore of the Finn Gulf.
Overall, about 200 people came to the programme that day, and a lot of them had
good fortune to get the darsan of the temple Deities,
Sri-Sri-Guru-Gauranga-Radha-Madhava-Sundarjiu. And those who had the best
fortune joined Nagar-sankirtana, that was held the following day.
